TLFC Law are pleased to welcome Min Seetoh to the property team. After being admitted to practice in 2011, she has developed a solid background in and an expansive portfolio of property matters. Breakfast Briefings

Breakfast Briefing : Property Last month, TLFC Law hosted our first Breakfast Briefing for FY 18/19. Jonathan Tisher chaired a series of insightful presentations kicking off with outlining the changes in sunset clauses for off the plan contracts. Nafsika Starvaggi spoke about the new GST regime and stamp duty amendments. Ron Cohen covered funding and JVs. Harriet Warlow-Shill detailed what to look out for in building and construction disputes. Phillip Leaman rounded out the morning on title-related issues. Some great questions and delicious danishes made for a fantastic start to the day.

Owners Corporation Partner, Nicole Wilde, guest lectured at Deakin University on Water Act claims. Her team is often extremely busy following heavy rain as owners and occupiers experience leaks.

Partner Phillip Leaman and Special Counsel Briana Kotzapavlidis presented to estate agents about rebate statements and privacy law changes, family law and the impact on real estate.

Associate Nafsika Starvaggi co-presented the Owners Corporation Essential Updates session and sat on the expert panel at the Law Institute of Victoria Property Law conference. The focus was on amendments to sunset clauses in off the plan Contracts and PEXA.

Partner Ron Cohen was invited to speak to the Melbourne Professional & Commercial Network Group, sharing insights into essential elements of a contract and understanding some of the different types of contracts and when to use them.
