Eve Whitmore practises in property and construction law, with a particular focus on owners corporation matters and building defect disputes. She is experienced in advising on complex, high-value disputes and advisory matters arising in these areas.
Eve acts for a broad range of clients, including owners corporations, management companies, lot owners, insurers, builders, and property developers. Her expertise includes owners corporation governance and dispute resolution, building defect claims, management rights disputes, and substantial recovery proceedings. She is particularly experienced in navigating technically complex disputes involving multiple stakeholders and regulatory considerations.
Eve is known for her strategic, commercially focused approach and her ability to develop practical solutions to challenging legal issues. She advises clients across the full lifecycle of disputes, from early strategic advice and negotiation through to formal proceedings and resolution, with a strong emphasis on achieving timely and cost-effective outcomes.
She regularly appears and acts as an instructing solicitor in proceedings before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Building Appeals Board, the Magistrates’ Court, the County Court, and the Supreme Court of Victoria, including appellate matters. Eve is recognised for her disciplined and pragmatic approach to litigation, ensuring her clients’ legal, commercial, and reputational interests are protected.
Outside of practice, Eve enjoys long-distance running and values spending time with family and friends.
