Malcolm graduated from Monash University with a double degree in Civil Engineering (Honours) and Law and has subsequently completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Malcolm Liu has had an extensive work history in the field of construction and civil engineering. For 4 years, and in tandem with his university studies, he has interned and worked in the project management department for quasi-governmental agencies and top tier consulting firms. He has gained exposure to, and experience in, a large variety of industry sectors including public utility, construction, defence, education, transport and major projects.

Malcolm’s career path shifted when he attended an exchange program in Germany in 2017 which focused on transnational commercial and European Union trade law. Since returning from exchange, and again in tandem with studies, Malcolm has passionately pursued a career in the legal industry by seeking out legal internships, resulting in gaining experience in leading firms in the Intellectual Property, Commercial Litigation, Building, Construction and Infrastructure sectors.

With his ethnic background being Chinese, he is able to understand the cultural sensitivities of the growing Asian community in Australia, and his fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) allows him to work with an increased pool of clientele.

Outside of the office, Malcolm Liu is an avid sportsmen cross socialite and can often be found training on the badminton courts or catching up with his friends.

…it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
